Department of Management Studies in Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, Erode was set up in 2005, has over years been adapting itself to the changing needs of the corporate sector while, at the same time, retaining the cultural values and ethos of the organization. It made a significant progress in terms of the students as well as professional recognition and achievements. Department's vision has been to excel in the field of management education. This can largely be attributed to the periodic redefining of its mission to align itself with the changing times, while maintaining focus on social responsiveness.It aims at becoming one of the most preferred management institutes in India. This is being achieved using a judicious mix of faculty having substantial academic and industry experience as well as young faculty members giving a flair for teaching. Department of management Studies focuses on all aspects of quality in its processes remaining conscious of its all its internal and external stakeholders.
Students at the Institutes are provided with the best possible enabling environment that must be expected from the corporate with the curricula that can benchmarked with the leading institutions in the field. Department of Management Studies has also started offering doctoral programme in management faculty members undertake consulting and MDP assignments.The students of this department are setting their foot forward to enter the world of professionals.
